Mayport Naval Station Facility

Located on the Mayport Naval Station within close proximity to the ships. Designated with Navy Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) certification.

Situated on 2.5 acres, our Mayport facility is comprised of a 60,000 square foot industrial building that houses our fabrication shop, pipe shop, machine shop, electric shop, crane and rigging shop,  material storage warehouse, paint shop and the administration department.

NFSY’s Quality Assurance program is ISO 9001; 2002 compliant, second party certified by the US Government.  All welders are certified to ABS, DNV, and US Navy standards as required.

We have skilled craftsmen with in-depth experience and expertise in the following technical areas:

Structural Steel Fabrication and Installation, Piping, Outside Machinery, Hydraulics, Electrical, Lagging, Diesel Propulsion, Machining, Joiner, and Rigging, Blasting/Coating (Company is QP 1 certified through SSPC)

Mayport Facility Equipment Overview

Machine Shop:
2 ton over head crane, 6 ton over head crane,  24”x6’ engine lathes, drill press, Bridge Port milling machine, surface grinder, 100 ton hydraulic press, 50 ton hydraulic press, 48” vertical lathe, hydrostatic test stand

Pipe Shop:
3 ton over head crane, 20’x30’ target table, electric pipe threaders, 4” hydraulic pipe bender,  2” hydraulic pipe benders, hydrostatic test units and 6” electric pumps for temporary fire fighting water

Fabrication Shop:
3 ton over head crane, 12’x1/2” metal plate brake, 8’x1/4” hydraulic plate sheer, plasma cutting units, welding power units for MIG/TIG/FLUX CORE/STICK welding, weld testing booths, 10’x10’ platen tables, various cofferdams used for below water repairs and a 10’x10’x5’ work barge.

Crane/Rigging Department:
80 ton Groves Hydraulic Crane with 150’ of boom, 40 ton P&H hydraulic mobile crane with 100’ extending boom, 10 ton hydraulic crane, 10 ton Hyster fork lift, 6 ton extending boom forklift, 6 ton forklift, chain falls from 1 ton through 10 tons, various scaffolding equipment, 45’ man lifts and 10’x20’ portable storage units

Paint Department:
Plural component paint unit, airless paint unit, dehumidification units, 5 gallon paint pot air units, Blasting Pot capable of supplying 4 blasters, 1200 CFM air compressor with air dryer and 10 cubic foot receiver, environmentally controlled storage unit for paint storage. Qualified paint and heavy metal abatement team on staff.

Quality Assurance Department:
Vibration/balancing unit, non-destructive testing equipment such as U.T., M.T. machines, various calibrated measuring equipment. Qualified and approved welding procedures and destructive testing (VT, UT, PT, MT)
